NADIN with SSL TLS (force HTTPS)

SSL-Certificate and Settings in NADIN

  1. Install an SSL-Certificate. For that, log in to the Hosting Control Panel offered by your provider. With only a few clicks you should be able to install a free Let's Encrypt Certificate. Providers not offering free Let's Encrypt Certificates are behind the times (change provider).
  2. In your NADIN's file config.inc.php, set the following value:

  3. $nadin='https://'.$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'].$_SERVER['PHP_SELF'];

Further, rewrite every request to HTTPS: Create a file named .htaccess with the following content and put it in the surfable main directory of your webserver (this directory has a name like httpdocs, htdocs, www; in case of doubt, ask your provider. If there is already a .htaccess file, add the lines at its beginning):

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off
RewriteRule (.*) https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [R,L]
